Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Here’s the information that runs through Sweeppa:

• What you give us: your name, email, and phone number (which we verify by text), your home address and any access notes, and — for cleaners — a profile photo and business details. Cleaners also complete identity verification and a background check through Vetty.
• Payment details: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
• How you use Sweeppa: bookings, messages, ratings, and basic device and usage data that help the app work and stay secure.
• Location: the area you’re in or the address you enter, so we can match you with nearby cleaners (or, for cleaners, nearby jobs).
• From our partners: screening results (from Vetty, for cleaners) and payment confirmations (from Stripe).

2. How we use it

We use your information to actually run Sweeppa — nothing creepy:

• Create and manage your account.
• Match customers with nearby, vetted cleaners.
• Process payments and pay cleaners.
• Verify cleaners’ identity and keep the marketplace safe.
• Send booking updates and reminders by email and text (you can opt out of texts anytime by replying STOP).
• Provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, improve the product, and meet our legal obligations.

3. When we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it’s needed to provide the service:

• Between you and your cleaner — and deliberately limited. After a cleaner accepts your job, they see your first name, the service address, and any access notes so they can show up and do the work — not your email, phone, or full last name. As a customer, you see your cleaner’s first name and last initial, photo, and rating — not their personal contact details. All messaging stays inside the app.
• Trusted service providers who help us operate: Stripe (payments and payouts), Vetty (background checks), our text and email providers, our cloud hosting and database, and mapping/geocoding services. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
• Legal and safety: when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, the public, or Sweeppa.

4. Keeping your data safe

We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, strict access controls, and database rules that limit who can see what. We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as we need it for legal, tax, and safety reasons, then delete or de-identify it. No method of storing or sending data over the internet is ever 100% secure, but we work hard to protect yours.

5. Your choices & rights

You’re in control of your information. You can view and update most of it right from your account, and you can ask us to delete your account or send you a copy of your data. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, and stop service texts by replying STOP. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights — just reach out and we’ll help.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the app is used so we can make it better. You can manage or clear cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as smoothly without them.

7. Children’s privacy

Sweeppa is for adults — you must be 18 or older to use it. We don’t knowingly collect information from children, and if we learn we have, we’ll delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

As Sweeppa grows and the law evolves, we may update this policy. When we make a meaningful change, we’ll update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email or in the app.
